Canon EOS Rebel T7i Overview

While you can purchase the camera individually, we recommend the bundle for beginners. Most entry-level photographers can be overwhelmed with finding all the additional options. So it’s easier to just get the bundle that comes with extra lenses and accessories to ease the burden of comparative shopping around.

Design

The Canon EOS Rebel T7i is a fantastic starter DSLR for beginners. It’s design is familiar, easy to handle, and comfortable to hold. Having identifiable external controls and a menu system that is pretty intuitive. If it turns out to be a little less intuitive though, it does come with on screen help options to help you use it. The view finder and LCD screen are also sufficiently bright and easy to see.

Photo Quality

The Rebel T7i delivers excellent quality. It takes sharp focused pictures and has a nice balance between colors. One of the key strengths to the camera is it’s ability to handle a wide variety of range, handling a mix of textures and colors with ease.

Additionally, the flash exposure can be set to balance out any issues in light. Don’t expect it to solve all of your lighting issues however, as this is just a starter DSLR and accurate lighting can be very difficult. Added on to that are multiple filters and features to enhance the quality of your images as you’d like.

Video Option

The T7i camera offers video capture up to full HD (1920 x 1080 at 60fps or 30fps). HDR and time lapse movies are also available. It also makes use of Canon’s Dual Pixel Autofocus and improves focusing during filming. The video quality overall is a well focused mixture of light and balanced colors. You won’t be shooting a feature film with it, but as far as DSLR filming goes, it’s solid quality.

Battery Life

It can range from 820 shots for the life of the battery, all the way down to 230 if you continually use the flash and the live view instead of the view finder.
